Unlike my last two races, Capt’n Karl’s Reveille 60k was uneventful (no oppressive heat, exploding cacti, injuries, etc.) It was a good race. I did not get my goal of finishing under 8 hours. But I did finish in just over 8hrs 30mins and and got 12th overall – pretty good given the number of racers that showed up last night.
With last night’s race, I completed the entire series and earned my belt buckle. I also placed 3rd overall for the series and earned a custom made wood “medal” and 3 mini bottles of rum.
It was a great series. I highly recommend checking it out next year.
